Set on the banks of the River Annaly, and in the heart of Cavans lakelands, the 1809 built Derragarra Inn is a well known landmark on Main Street, Butlers Bridge, Co. Cavan. Its picturesque ivy covered, thatched roof made it the perfect backdrop for shooting scenes in the film ‘The Playboys’ (1992) which starred Albert Finney, Robin Wright and Aidan Quinn.

In 2014 Fergus and Susan Murphy became the new owners of the Derragarra Inn and relocated their award winning and family run restaurant Murph’s Bistro to its new home.
The 100 year old restaurant is the perfect blend of old and new and is the ideal spot for wedding, parties, a quiet meal or Sunday Lunch.
