The Old Coach Inn in Castleblayney Co. Monaghan is built on a site that was originally owned by William Byrne in 1860.
It has passed through the hands of a number of owners over the years. In 1880 Hugh Hardy ran a licensed premises on the site. His son took over the premises and it was passed on to the Hanratty family.
Customer service was always important over the years, resulting in a loyal customer base. The current owners, the Watters family pride themselves in continuing with this tradition with their mission to serve high-quality food in a friendly and relaxing atmosphere.
Since taking over the premises in 2009, the Watters family have developed the restaurant, bar, and lounge to its current high standard.
